Journey into the heart of Southern Africa to experience the magnificence of four distinct nations: South Africa, Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe. Start your 18-day tour in Johannesburg with a full day touring Soweto, where the seeds of South African freedom took root. Visit the home, now a museum, of the late Nelson Mandela and tour the moving Hector Pieterson Memorial and Museum.

Explore spectacular Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe and take an elephant-back safari through the bush, followed by a rhino safari in open-top vehicles. Travel to Botswana for a full-day safari to Chobe National Park, home of exceptional bird life and one of Africa’s largest elephant populations. Depart for Namibia and the vast Namib Desert, with its towering sand dunes rising more than a thousand feet high. Spend four nights in beautiful Cape Town, South Africa. Visit the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, where the Atlantic and Indian Oceans meet, and the Winelands, South Africa’s renowned wine-growing region.
